Internships

We collaborate with local college students seeking internships for the full year, semester, or summer. Our internships provide valuable hands-on experience in advocacy, crisis management, and community engagement, empowering individuals facing domestic and sexual violence.

Available Internships

  • Outreach Advocate Intern: Provide direct support to victims of abuse while assisting in community outreach initiatives. Help raise awareness about domestic violence and available resources, ensuring individuals in crisis receive the advocacy and resources they need.
  • Crisis Advocate Intern: Work directly in our emergency shelter, responding to calls on the 24-hour crisis line and offering emotional support. Assist residents with immediate needs and collaborate with shelter staff to ensure comprehensive support for individuals affected by abuse.

For more information about available internships and how to apply, please contact our Director of Community Engagement at 608-791-2610, ext. 1301.
